Classic Connect 2 - iPod Conversion Mod Review (Bluetooth, USB-C, Wireless Charging)
Description
[UPD: Moonlit Market has reached out to me in response to this video and assured that the battery can easily be replaced while preserving the wireless charging functionality - you just need to chop off the battery wires of the existing one and plug in the new battery in the A port.
As this information was not readily available on the website or instructions at the time of the review, I did not include it in the review when making it.]
More than 20 years after its release, the iPod Classic is still alive.
In this video, I revisit my upgraded iPod Classic from the Classic Connect 1 mod, and rebuild it with the new Classic Connect 2 kit from Moonlit Market.
This time around, next to the Blueetooth and USB-C for your iPod, it promises wireless charging, haptic feedback, and a new versions of backplate colors (I got a translucent one), but also makes some controversial design choices that might surprise you :)
