Edit 3/1/2020: I redid this project with a taotronics transmitter with excellent results. Available from Amazon at this link https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W5S2WVN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I also used a magnetic reed switch so no more holes in the case.
