Apple iPod 30 Pin Adapter and 3rd Gen 20th Anniversary

Has it really been 20 years already since the Apple iPod 3rd generation and the 30 pin adapter it introduced came out?
Released on Friday May, 2nd 2003.

The iPod didn't stick around for long but the 30 pin adapter it had was around for 10 years.
