On October 23rd 2001, exactly 20 years to this date, the OG iPod was released. Also known as the iPod Classic Gen 1, iPod Classic 1st Generation, iPod 1, iPod Gen 1 or the first ever iPod..whatever you call it, it was the first iPod ever released and today is the iPod Classic 1st generation 20 year anniversary!
Yes, this iPod is now exactly 20 years old since it was released back in 2001.
Its amazing to think that 20 years have passed and so many things have changed in the tech industry in terms of how we view portable music players and so on. Long before the iPod touch. nano, shuffle and classic of recent years, the original iPod brought Apple to the limelight in the portable music industry! Its so old it uses Apple Firewire! This is an example of one of those iPods. This is a highly sought after collectors item and they usually sell for above 200$.

The iPod Classic 1st Generation 20th anniversary video is a video I was waiting all year to do! and here it is!!
