iPod Classic - going back to the future!

Recently, I bought myself an 80GB iPod Classic. It wasn’t just a nostalgia trip either. The constant barrage of notifications from my Mac, Apple Watch and iPhone was really starting to get to me. But even with as many notifications as possible switched off on my phone, I found they were still interrupting me - and no more so than when I wanted to listen to music.

For one reason or another, the iPhone turned out to be the ruination of listening to music properly, the way it had been created by the musician to be listened to. But on the iPod, I’m listening to nearly uncompressed original CD quality files in good wired headphones, and it sounds amazing. The difference is like day & night - and there is not a single notification in sight.
