Description

Bringing an iPod Mini 2nd Gen back to life!
This is one of the most repairable iPods Apple ever made, but also one of the most overlooked. It’s actually one of my favourite iPod models to work on.

This unit came in with:
• A burnt monochrome display
• A dead battery
• A failed micro-drive
• And a completely ruined polariser layer

I rebuilt the battery pack, upgraded the storage to a 32GB CompactFlash card, restored the OS, and finally tackled the hardest part — fixing the burnt screen by replacing the polariser.

In this video, I walk through:
- Removing the burnt polariser
- Cleaning and restoring the display
- Testing multiple polariser angles
- Reassembling the device
- Final functionality test
